Britney´s Comeback Comedown

Well, Britney Spears´ much anticipated comeback performance has been and gone and left the world completely underwhelmed. Where were the mirrors and the magic acts? Where was the hot sexy Britney lighting up the stage with her presence and charisma? Where the hell was Criss Angel? Nowhere, Nowhere, and Nowhere. Britney´s performance has been almost universally planned due to the fact that it was boring as hell, and as anticipated, she looked zoned out of her mind.
Because I like ironic things, here´s some of the raving comments the producer of the show made before the performance. This dude beats the Iraqi Minister of Information any day for making the tragic sound good. I hope he made some money off this, because I doubt he´s gunna work again in that town:
´I wanted her to come on and make a statement right from the very beginning of the show. And she´ll kill it. I wanted to start the show in a very big and dramatic way, and she´s the one to do that. She´ll captivate everyone, and set the tone for the rest of the night. There´s no one better.´
Ha! Sorry, but at some point people have to learn that there are consequences for blind faith and that pure enthusiasm does not make up for knowledge or skill, or the fact that the star you chose is a train wreck.
In all of this, the song is actually half decent, and if Britney were sane, I m pretty sure she´d actually be quite the little star again. Poor Britney.
