Kanye West missed out at the VMA´s again this year, and he wasn´t happy about it. “That´s two years in a row, man ... give a black man a chance. I´m trying hard man, I have the ... No. 1 record, man.” Kanye lost out to Rihanna for Best Video, as well as the other four categories in which he scored nominations. Justin Timberlake took out male artist of the year, which seemed to be just a little on the silly side of things. What the hell has Justin really done this year apart from a couple of good collaborations with Timbaland?
Methinks that the MTV people are just baiting Kanye a little bit, after all, the awards don´t really mean anything, they´re just bits of plastic or metal or whatever. The MTV Music awards are really all about scandal, which explains the complete shambles they were this year.
Basically they featured meltdowns (c/o Britney Spears), retarded rudeness masquerading as humor (c/o Sarah Silverman taking shots at Britney´s infant children), fights (c/o Kid Rock and Tommy Lee), and irrational outbursts (thanks Kanye, who can always be relied upon to add a racial twist to any situation.)
