It´s been a long time for Avril Lavigne, but she´s come out with a new music video, and well, it´s pretty catchy. It´s also pretty crap. Somehow she´s managed to actually become less mature with age. Sure, the whole rebellious teen thing works when you´re a teen, but even the fact that she´s practically a midget doesn´t stop the fact that being 22 and singing “hey hey, I want to be your girlfriend” is kind of lame.
What happened to the hardcoreness? I guess it got swept away in a stream of rampant consumerism and one last desperate attempt to stay young forever. Why do people ignore the warnings against such things? Is Michael Jackson not a hideous enough example of what happens when you don´t mature with age?
Avril is showing all the signs of being a teen rocker well into her 30´s and 40´s and it is simply going to be super. I can´t wait to see her sagging breasts flopping around inside a tank top with a little skull on it. Yummy.
