You can say a lot about Blake Fielder-Civil, that his name is too damn long, that nobody cares about him at all, or that heīs riding Amyīs coat tails to undeserved secondary fame. You can say all that, but you canīt say that the man isnīt committed. It has been revealed what took place on the night that Amy Winehouse ODīd, and it is truly touching.
As Amy lay, so sick and still in her hospital bed, lucky to be alive after having her stomach pumped, Blake slipped out of the room to go and get more Heroin to stick into his arm. Thatīs right. Not even almost losing his wife could stop him from getting his fix.
That sort of dedication is rare indeed. A lot of people would have thought, at least momentarily, about giving up the drugs, but not Blake, no. I think Iīm beginning to see why rehab just wonīt work for these two.
