Youīll of course remember that Britney Spears ran a red light with her kids in the car just a few days ago. Instead of watching the road, Britney decided to watch her cellphone and ended up barreling around the corner in the face of oncoming traffic. However, in spite of the fact that this incident is on tape, Britney will not be prosecuted for it. The LAPD explained: īWe have to witness it, unless itīs an intersection with cameras that automatically take pictures of people running red lights, and then something gets mailed to the registered owner.ī
Ah, so thatīs how the crime stopping business works these days. Wow, what a great time it must be to be a murderer. As long as you donīt wack someone in front of a cop, youīre pretty much free and clear to go. When did this new set of laws come in? I was laboring under the impression that the police had to, I donīt know, investigate a crime and find evidence and then charge the person if they had sufficient evidence. Like, you know, a tape of the person doing it.
I guess not.
