Demi Moore is clearly being crushed under the pressure of having a much younger husband, and has turned to ye olde quackery to try and help her look younger. Demi appeared on David Letterman and told him all about her loopy beauty treatment: ´I feel like I´ve always been someone looking for the cutting edge of things that optimize your health and healing. I was in Austria doing a cleanse and part of the treatment was leech therapy.´
Demi Moore is evidently ignorant enough not to know that leech “therapy” is part of a long since abandoned ancient treatment known as blood letting. The method was favored by the Mesopotamians, the Egyptians, the Aztecs, and the Mayans, which means that it can hardly be called ´cutting edge´, though it can be called stupid and desperate.
The Aztecs were also rather fond of the occasional human sacrifice. I shouldn´t be surprised if Demi was arrested for plunging a knife into the heart of a virgin because someone told her that it would make her look 5 years younger.
