Aw, how sweet. It looks like 2008 is going to be the year where the younger sisters of celebrities get themselves knocked up. Ashlee Simpson is going to have a baby with Pete Wentz, who she announced her engagement to last week some time.
Since the time of the announcement there has been speculation that she may be pregnant, and Us Magazine finally confirmed the pregnancy today, writing: ´Ashlee Simpson is pregnant, a source confirmed to Usmagazine.com. The singer, 23, is expecting her first child with fiancé Pete Wentz, 28.´
Looks like these two are going to have a real ol´ fashioned down home shotgun wedding. Sure, the Simpsons seem so classy, what with Papa Simpson and his proudly lewd comments about his daughter´s assets and all, but underneath that veneer of high class snobbery, some of that rootin´ tooton´ spirit clearly remains. Yeehaw!
