Besides just getting a baby from the place, Madonna is also becoming a citizen of Malawi. I guess that might help tidy up the whole international adoption scandal side of things that has been plaguing her ever since she bought baby David home. Malawis deputy culture and tourism minister said: We are proud as a country to be associated with such a mega star. She will have freedom of all cities here. She wont be bothered with issues like visas and other limitations.
Other limitations like illegal adoption eh? Good on Madonna. Its only taken several years, the growing of legendary biceps and multiple lesbian kissing outbreaks to ensure her place in Malawian society.
Im not sure that citizenship is really what Madonna was after however. Shes probably disappointed that theyre not putting up statues to her and worshiping her as a god. Isnt that supposed to be what happens when rich white people trot off to poor African nations and spread their benevolent largesse around?
